Abstract Objectives We will highlight how the obligation of medical prescription to obtain oral contraception build a negativ representation of the pill by cognitive distorsion: hormonophobia is often cited to explain oral contraception refusal, but 2,2 millions of morning after pills (over-the-counter) are sold each year in France.(HRA-Pharma 07/2022) We want to expose that behind medical contraceptive refusal, we have to search sexual disorders such a lack of pleasure, couple's difficulties, sexual dysfunctions, even look for other antecedent. Methods Literature review on PubMed: keywords contraception-over-the counter; sexual desire and hormonal contraception General literature: Moles A. 1973 Théorie de l'information et perception esthétique. Younes C. PaquotT 2012 Espace et lieu dans la pensée occidentale Ed La Découverte General literature about media reports that in the ATAWAD era, anytime-anywhere-any device, the non accessibility to an object confers a representation and an imaginary of a dangerous product. We observe that many patients use App to control their fertility, and some of them had receive FDA clearance, but no independant scientific survey yet about them. Results Although decreased sexual desire is sometimes report with hormonal contraception, the causal link has not actually etablished. One study Novick AM & coll. Eur J Contracept Reprod Health Care 2022/06 questions the link between mood's side-effects of oral contraception and adverse childhood experiences. Conclusions We note that there is a common point between contraceptive refusal and the use of digital contraception: the limitation of sexual practices by the unwanted pregnancy risk. The action's means are: facilitate access to medical contraception, ask about history and sexual pleasure. Conflicts of Interest None
