Amorphous ferromagnetism in the frozen-spin model
I. A. Akhiezer, D. P. BelozorovThe microscopic model proposed treats ferromagnetic metallic glass as a disordered ferromagnet, an object that is intermediate between a saturated ferromagnet and a spin glass. Spontaneous magnetization and longitudinal magnetic susceptibility are found to occur at zero temperature and the magnetization is demonstrated to decrease with rising temperature. The model makes it possible to explain the experimental properties of amorphous ferromagnets that distinguish them from crystalline ferromagnets.
