Current Status of Neurotrauma Management in Resource-limited Settings

Over the last several decades neurotrauma has become recognized as a significant contributor to poor health outcomes, with growing physical, cognitive, social, and economic burdens. Although it serves as a significant contributor globally, it disproportionately affects low-and middle-income countries (LMIC). In this manuscript, we will be comparing how neurotrauma is managed across the globe, with special consideration on how variations in environment, resources, infrastructure, and access, can influence patient care and outcomes. Moreover, we will be examining the challenges faced by healthcare systems in LMIC and exploring strategies for quality improvement.
