Detection of a discrete variation in noise voltage in superconducting channel due to electromagnetic field

V. M. Dmitriev, I. V. Zolochevskii, V. P. Sklyarov, E. V. Khristenko

It is found that as the power of electromagnetic radiation increases, the noise voltage of the superconducting channel increases discretely. The authors attribute this to the fact that the electromagnetic field causes a disbalance in the population of the branches of the quasi-particle spectrum.
