Effect of surface scattering of electrons on the current states in tungsten

V. V. Boiko, G. N. Landysheva, L. V. Ovchinnikova

The peculiarities of the current states in tungsten arising due to irradiation of samples with high-amplitude (up to 150 Oe) rf waves are described. The frequency dependence of the moment (Hc∼) of the emergence of these states is determined. It is shown that Hc∼ is an exponential function of frequency, the exponent depending on the nature of electron scattering at the sample surface. The contribution of electrons multiply reflected by the sample surface to the rectified high-frequency current and the hysteresis of current states is determined.
