Ellipticity and rotation of the polarization plane of ultrasound in reflection from the surface of a magnetically polarized metal
K. B. Vlasov, N. S. Yartseva, N. G. BebeninThe reflection of transverse ultrasonic waves propagating from a dielectric onto a metal occupying the half-space z ≥ 0 in a magnetic field perpendicular to the interface is investigated. It is shown that the ellipticity and rotation of the polarization plane of ultrasound as a function of the magnetic field exhibit resonance characteristics in the interval of doppleron–phonon resonance.
